Mixed media textile image 'Love' by I Am Prayerful. God's greatest commandment to us, and an imperative for everyday life.
Monoprinted textile in cool blue and grey tones with a touch of green, on a manipulated printing plate, with layers of lace and organza, Czech glass beads, embroidered stitches and vintage sequins.
The picture is framed, and signed on the reverse along with the following scripture:
"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing." 1 Cor 13:1-3
Framed in a standard 35cm square white shadow box frame. The piece is mounted on a 29.75cm square mounting board, and designed for a 19.8cm square aperture.
