Perfect Christian Gifts

This month we're highlighting our stock of small pictures, ideal as a thoughtful wedding or birthday gift. These pictures come with an extra scripture verse on the reverse, where they are also signed, and made with lots of love.

Loved is monoprinted on off-white linen, with gold lace, sequins, bronze beads and hand worked french knots, plus a single word. With a complementary scripture verse on the reverse.

Known is a delicate textile landscape - a perfect Christian gift in layers of pale blue and green with neutral pale teal. The piece includes layers of recycled textile and organza, glass seed beads, gold lace, sequins and french knots, all worked by hand. The fingerprint pattern to the right of centre reminds us that we are known to our very fingerprints by our creator.

In this Glory piece, we were experimenting with using overlapping pieces of linen for the monoprinted background, so that the frayed edge is seen. The piece includes vintage sequins, graduated glass seed beads, topstitching, embroidery and an additional scripture verse on the reverse.

This simple landscape evokes the still lakes of the Highlands (a favourite getaway spot) with a reflected, still body of water in the foreground and 'boutis' style topstitching on the hillside. Traces of clouds and vintage sequins hint at incoming weather, and a single strand of hand-dyed and spun lambswool from the West Coast of Scotland creates a

simple shoreline.

Recently added to our site is this piece entitled 'Favour', which is a delicate blend of very light soft blue and pale coffee colours. Graduated glass seed beads move across the hillside, and 'boutis' style stitching glimmers behind. The piece is finished with embroidery, vintage sequins, bronze beads, and french knots. All worked by hand.

All our frames are framed with an air gap between the textile and the glazing, and properly sealed on the reverse in traditional style to keep dust out. We also add a longer complementary scripture verse on the reverse, and sign each piece.
